Before adopting Rubis Portering, Hôpitaux du Léman had been running a third-party system since April 2021. Despite daily use, the tool was showing its limits: a lack of responsiveness, unstable connections, too many empty trips for the porters, and a constant stream of calls — from care teams and porters alike — to report delays or voice frustration.
A friction-free roll-out
The move to Rubis was gradual. Teams were up and running quickly, thanks to a familiar interface — the contextual call for creating a mission in particular — but also thanks to careful support from our training team.
“Getting to grips with it was made easier by good internal communication and by the responsiveness of the Synovo team whenever something went wrong.”
— Portering manager, Hôpitaux du Léman
Day to day: autonomy and flow
Rubis now runs on its own. When activity peaks, the dispatcher steps in to assign missions manually to the nearest porter, shortening journeys in the process. The gains are concrete:
- Faster patient handling
- Stronger identity checks
- Workload spread more evenly across porters
- Fewer tensions between departments
- A marked drop in calls and follow-ups
« Yes, I would recommend Rubis: full autonomy, responsive support, and a team that listens and keeps improving the software. It is easy to get to grips with for every team. »
